1 Eye, 1 Hand, No legs, No home.

I came across this gentleman sitting in a wheel chair between a McDonalds and a gas station. He was missing an eye, full use of both hands (curled nubs), the bottom half of both legs, and a home. I bought him a sandwich and soda, sat and talked with him for a while. He told me a tiny bit about his life and that he had a brother in town (whom he was waiting on).
I was only there a few minutes when his brother arrived, driving a shiny new Navigator. I introduced myself. His brother seemed to be a stable, personable individual. I bid them both adieu, and was on my way. It baffles me to this day how someone could be doing so well, and allow their brother to live on the street, or in that condition. Maybe it's by choice, chemically induced, due to a chemical imbalance, or possibly a mental disorder. I'll always wonder, but never know. The world may never know. Unfortunately ... he is not the only gentleman that I've met with similar circumstances.
I think his story lay wihtin the intensity of his stare ... the eye tells his story.

It may not be the safest thing in the world but ... well I think I come up with some interesting imagery. The window of opportunity is small, the images aren't composed, and often they are blurry. But that's life.
